President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko. He arrived in Ashgabat at the head of a delegation for the meeting of the Turkmen-Ukrainian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation.
As the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports referring to the official sources, the two sides noted with satisfaction the mutual intention to enhance the dialogue in such priority areas as the fuel and energy sector, trade and economy, metallurgy, transportation, urban development, agriculture and education.
The sides also noted the importance of searching new forms of trade and economic cooperation on an equitable and long-term basis, namely joint business forums, trade fairs and specialized exhibitions.
On the same day, the delegation of Ukraine attended a special meeting of the Turkmen-Ukrainian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation. The sides held a detailed exchange of views on the main issues of the long-term mutually beneficial cooperation, including in the oil and gas, transportation, and construction sectors.
