Turkmen Foreign Ministry officials held a meeting with the Deputy Head of Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Central Asia Mr. Ikhtiyar Aslanov.
During the meeting it was noted that the relations between Turkmenistan and the ICRC develop in an atmosphere of understanding and wish to advance constructive and multidimensional dialogue.
Parties discussed the priority aspects of the further development of humanitarian cooperation between Turkmenistan and the ICRC mission in Central Asia. In this regard, it was the mutual desire of the parties to enhance the fruitful interaction by practical joint steps.
Turkmenistan and the International Committee of Red Cross in Central Asia have agreed and adopted for the realization “The plan of actions for the implementation of the international humanitarian right between the Government of Turkmenistan and ICRC for 2013”. The plan is aimed for further development of constructive cooperation between Turkmenistan and the international organization, it provides the joint organization of workshops, trainings, round tables, involvement of scientists with the scientific researches in the issues of international humanitarian rights as well as the activities dedicated to the 150th anniversary of ICRC foundation. The adoption of the above mentioned plan is another confirmation of mutual goal to develop the bilateral partnership on the regular basis.
